The team at Allods Online is not wasting anytime adding to their recently released game (and one of my favorite free to play MMO's) as today Gala Net and gPotato announced that in mid-late July a huge update titled "Renaissance" will be released. Renaissance will feature the hardest dungeon to date, a completely re-vamped character creation process and many other feature tweaks. Astral travelling will get some great enhancements such as a ship speed boost, and an enhanced map overlay.
One of the more anticipated features being added to the update is the reincarnation system:
Players who reach level 46 and complete a series of trials will be able to go through a reincarnation ritual to create an alternate character of another archetype. Only one incarnation is allowed per level 46 character.
Your progenitor and your incarnation will share the following features:
- all of the items in the Item Shop tab of your bag
- all bonuses gained from items that come from Radiant Strongboxes
- your mounts
- your bag size
- your deposit box size
- your runes
- the duration remaining on your patron’s blessing
- your gold
- some of the items in your Currency tab
- your Astral ship
This means that these items will not need to be re-purchased on your alternate character, and instead access is given from the progenitor to the incarnation for FREE. No purchasing two sets of bags, no spending gold to buy mounts or mount feed from the auction house for two characters, etc.
The character creation system re-vamp also seems to be a great addition to this update. The streamlined process and much easier interface to go through makes creating your character in Allods Online as fun and easy as it should be.
