Funcom announced that the next Beta Weekend for its upcoming modern-day massively multiplayer online game ‘The Secret World’ will start this Friday on May 18th.

 
EVE Online: Inferno Deploys on May 22 - Monday, May 14th, 2012

Launching on 22th of May, Inferno aims to shake up all levels of warfare in the over 7,500 solar systems in EVE’s massive universe. Overhauls of major war-related game systems will affect player-driven conflict and the first set of many new ship modules to come promise to alter tactics at the most visceral levels.

According to the Berlin publisher, Frogster, the servers will be open from today, the 19th of April, at 15:00 CEST (2pm UK) until Tuesday, the 24th of April, at midnight CEST (11pm UK). The younger brother of EVE Online, Perpetuum, plans to add Player-Built Settlements (PBS) to his sandbox world to spice up the things a little, more likely with lots of wars, drama and lots of PvPew. A 10 people man team manages to build a interesting sandbox mmo, while 200 man teams are copying WOW mechanics and adding tons of cheesy voice overs and call it a day. Lovely times we live in.
