Is it just me or is the trading system on Runescape acting way too much like a parent grounding their child? It has nothing, you can trade a couple of things but that's all, what if you want to give something to someone else, what do you do?

What can they do? If they allow it, they'll allow the already massive blackmarket of trade to exploit their system even more.
It just totally kills the game off.
I've seen other games that focus more on bannings than ruining the experience for everyone..
It's giving into what they want.
Nah, I think it encourages people to work for themselves instead of having people just give them stuff. Makes the game stay more towards just the game and not bring in extra stuff like charity.
I haven't traded in a long while in Runescape, has it changed that much?Originally Posted by Lizajui
Oh wait. I vaguely remember people complaining they valued stuff and that you couldn't trade something if you offered less than what an item is normally way valued for?
I was playing Runescape like...six years ago. Even though the trading system then had a few ways you could totally scam people (my friend got scammed out of her santa hat and 50k), if you learned to be careful, things usually went smoothly. They should have just stuck to the old system, perhaps make a triple check thing to make it so people can triple check what they're trading.
And if it's because newbies are being scammed, I think it's all a learning experience that's good for new players
...runescape has a black market? Never knew this, lol
But yeah. Runescape's new trade system was pretty annoying when I was trying to help my friend get her smithing level up. I have a short temper so I kinda just quit.
I've always considered Runescape's blackmarket those ads that say "convert 1 dollar to some amount of gold pieces!"
I've actually had school friends who profit from these things, it was funny in a way![]()
I remember those ads, they had a banner with party hats or something xD
