this game is good, verry good actually, but not free to play… it doesn’t require monthly fees, but you have to buy the content. it is like a trail until lvl 20, after that you’ll have to pay for any area you want to explore, you can, but you can’t do the quests or dungeons if you don’t pay. and you still have to buy the expansion if you want, because that one isn’t free either

The game is nearly 100% free to play. Yes, there is content that you can buy, but you get points to buy that content ingame and don’t have to spend any money! You can play until about 35ish until you have to get content. That content will get you to 45. By then you might have enough for even more content!

What I did was play until 30, then decided that I am going to play this game for awhile. So I bought Mines of Moria Expansion from Amazon for $10. That comes with an area for lvl 50s, new classes, 1 month of VIP (which unlocks everything), and more. Once you VIP runs out, you should be at least lvl 50 and do all your quests in Moria. You also get to keep a lot of features once VIP runs out.

    Great Game (10/10)

I tried several online games but I was bored even in new AION. And then I tried LOTR, it is really good - strong story, variable locations, titles, traits etc. Yeah, I’m RPG positive person. Even the money is not problem as Bob101910 said, i will gladly pay few bucks for new content. This transaction model is ideal for me because I don’t have time all the week /you know girlfriend ;-) / so I will not pay for each day while i’m not playing as it is in other games.
