Star Trek Online: Free to Play Information

Posted by on

Having recently announced that Star Trek Online would be going free to play at some point in 2011, players were curious to know the differences between the "free" and "premium" models of the game.  Cryptic have posted on their website a 'Features Matrix' that shows players the differences between both models, however there seems to be a huge amount of content open to the free to play players and not that much extra for premium subcribers.

Players who will play the free model will have access to all the games missions and sectors as well as Klingon play, all classes, all events and PvP. The only real differences in the models are that premium members will get priority login, customers service and a few 'extra' bonus elements. If you are interested in Star Trek Online going free to play you can head over to the STO free to play section on the Cryptic site to check it out.
