POSSIBILITY SPACE ANNOUNCES DEBUT TITLE “WARRIOR EPIC”
Warrior Epic, an Online Action RPG, to be released early 2008.
Austin, TX - December 10th, 2007– Today Possibility Space officially announces its debut
title, Warrior Epic, which is due to be released for the PC in early 2008.
Warrior Epic is a free-to-play Online Action RPG. The game deviates from the standard
MMOG mold by having players command an entire team of warriors. Every player
manages a base, called a Hall, that houses their warriors and equipment. The game
features many warrior classes, each with its own unique equipment and skill tree. The
Hall represents each player’s wealth and experience within the game’s online community.
Player Hall’s can be upgraded and customized, providing benefits to the warriors within.
Players will use their warriors to adventure in solo and multiplayer campaigns. Playe Player’s
may also visit other player Halls to challenge each other in a PvP arena. Teamwork and
cooperation are integral parts of Warrior Epic. Each warrior class is designed for a
specific purpose, and players must work together to maximize the party’s effectiveness.
Possibility Space has created a unique distribution system which allows players to be
immersed in the game world within minutes of visiting the game’s website. Warrior Epic
uses a very small installer that downloads only the content that is needed on an ondemand
basis. This distribution system incorporates proprietary peer-to-peer (P2P) technology
to ensure maximum download speeds.
Accounts are stored on central servers, enabling players to access their accounts from
any machine with an internet connection. In addition to unprecedented convenience for
players, the distribution system allows Possibility Space to seamlessly release new
content into the game world after launch. The studio plans on releasing new content
monthly.
Interviews with more details on Warrior Epic’s features and design can be found on
several game sites including GameZone, Strategy Informer, and Ten Ton Hammer.
Closed Beta
A closed beta test will be conducted in Q1 2008. Players interested in participating
should register at www.warriorepic.com.
