It seems that Blizzard lost it completely. What it looked like a April fools joke, its actually the next expansion for World of Warcraft, Mists of Pandoria.
Mists of Pandoria is the next expansion for World of Warcraft, which seems a rip-off of Kung Fu Panda Movie. Also the name "Pandoria", its hilarious. Its like all the creative people left Blizzard, which is not far from the true. This new land has a Chinese theme because Blizzard want to expand in Asia and since over half of their subscribers are from there it makes some sense.
When one of the biggest gaming company in the world rips-off a movie to please a new market, alienate their current player base and ignore the lore they created in the last 20 years, to squeeze as much money from the market before their game dies completely it clearly shows the state of the industry. How much money is enough?
The Expansion features:
- new race Pandaren (clever name, haha!)
- new class: monk
- new continent Pandaria, get it ? It has Pandas in it, but no Jack Black.
- level increased to 90 (cheapest way to add content)
- challenge mode dungeons
- moar PvE scenarios
- pet battle system ( thats nice, a couple Asian mmos did it like 10 years ago, and Anarchy Online )
- new talent system
AND MUCH MORE!! no, not really.
