It has been six months since RIFT was unleashed upon the world and in celebration of that Trion that has announced that the game will be free to play for all players during the 25th to the 31st of August even for those that have already played the trial. The free time will also include the chance to enter into some of the awesome contests that they have going on which could win you anything from free game time to video cards and a new PC.
Here are some of the competitions and the prizes that players can look forward too this celebration week.
During the RIFT half-birthday celebration, we're hosting exciting contests. Everyone can participate for a chance to win RIFT game time, a video card, or even a new HP PC! The prize contests are:
- Over-Achiever*: The character awarded the most achievements between August 25-31 will win.
- Celebration Screenshot*: Submit a screenshot of your character celebrating RIFT’s half-birthday in the least appropriate spot (or fashion) for a party in Telara. He or she who parties the heartiest wins the prize!
- RIFT Half-Birthday Cake*: Bake RIFT a half-birthday cake and submit a photo. May the best cake (or half-cake) win.
The grand prize winner of each contest will receive a screaming new HP PC (i7 3.2 GHz Quad-Core, Nvidia GTX580, 9GB RAM, 160GB SSD, and 1TB HDD!*) and two runners-up for each contest will receive Nvidia® GTX460 graphics cards. All winners and runners-up will also be awarded six months of RIFT game time!
