Mythos is an hack and slash online rpg game from the makers of Fate and Diablo, and of course with many of those features you found in those games, and more.

While having Hellgate London as their main game, Flagship Studios decided to assault the market of free mmorpg games, with items shop system, with this small but entertaining game.

Mythos will be free to download and play, but you will have available shops to enhance you playing experience, assist you in becoming stronger, but it won’t give you the best stuff so you won’t have huge advantages over other players.

Fans of Diablo I-II, Fate and Titan’s Quest, will feel at home, because the gameplay is similar in terms of looting, fighting, skill system, but we have more features some in game like crafting, and being able to break any item in inventory into crafting materials, and also guild system, pvp system, and other goodies.

In Mythos you get to choose from four races, each with their racial bonuses, Humans, Satyr, Gremlins, and Cyclops and each race can choose from 3 classes available, one being the melee class Bloodletter, a mage class Pyromancer, and a ranged class that uses rifles, Gadgeteer. This doesn’t stop here, with a complex skill tree of 3 tabs for each class, you can customize your character, with tons of abilities, summons, and other things.

As you may have guessed the characters evolve by improving the four attributes available: Strength, Dexterity, Vitality, Wisdom, besides the gear you have on you, and the skills, abilities. There is also a neat feature with which you can improve your character even further, this feature is named achievements. The achievements tabs shows you how can improve further, for an example, if you kill 1000 bugs, you get the title Bug Slayer in the achievements tab, and 10% more damage to insects, or another example is that when you defeat some specific boss listed in this tab you get +1 to all attributes. You can activate up to 5 achievements at one time, each with their given bonuses, and change them for each situation.

Your adventures, quests, usually are taken from NPC’s from a  node, which usually is a city, and from there you can travel to different places.When you will get to a  higher level, you will be able to move to another city, realm. Every time you enter a quest area the monster will respawn, and the most of the map is random generated. There is also a system where npc can sel youl maps for unknown locations to you to discover them for treasures and challenges.

The game also features, guild system, mail system and friends list, bank, features that are basic and mandatory in any decent online rpg, but you will be surprise how many are missing these.

As a player you will spend lots of time questing, crafting, and exploring new location for PHAWT LOOT!!one ( yes I used this again cause I find it funny and sometimes annoying see WOW), and having fun alone or with friends in party. There is also an open pvp system located on a pvp location named Shadow Lands, where when you get killed, you loose an item every time a player kills you, and he gets that item and vice versa.

After playing the game a few days, now in Closed Beta phase, i got to say that it is one of those great polished games even when they are Closed Beta. Mythos shows much potential with great and fun gameplay features, played casual or more, great graphics and atmosphere, free to play, ill say this is going to be the Free MMORPG of the year in our book.
